I believe you will need the Apple TV. There's no App for use for everybody else.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would recommend getting the Apple TV, though there’s a rumor there’s going to be a update to add the Apple TV app, if anything goes wrong with your tv you may not be able to access the Apple TV app. Apple 4K tv is great!!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Apple TV app was released for the newer Samsung Tv’s (2019+ models) this spring. Unfortunately for us who have an older Samsung Tv, we have to wait fall 2019 for the Apple TV update. However this is not a guarantee for all Samsung smart Tv’s. If your not in a rush to buy a Apple TV I’d wait to see what happens this fall.
