From the moment you begin to unwrap and unbox your new Apple TV your reminded of the high quality and thought that goes in to every Apple product and this is no different. Just outstanding high quality product. I was using the best ROKU device available and that pales in comparison. It’s not even close. I have several ROKU devices that I purchased. The last one I purchased about 3 months ago for me LG OLED tv. It was very cheesy. Lightweight. Got super hot. The pictures was sometimes ok sometimes not. But at the ROKU price point it was easy to buy those devices. The final straw for me was when they started billing me for a trial I had clearly need and would not stop charging me for. For four months after calling my bank and having charges reversed they kept billing. Good luck getting customer service it’s virtually non existent. So here I am with the best tv on the market. Should I invest in the Apple device? Yes! ROKU didn’t have HBO Max available. Some other channels too. But Apple has everything. And the picture is amazing! Maximizes the potential of my OLED tv 100%. The remote control is a cool functional design. It integrated with my sound bar and tv flawlessly. Easily. And if your an owner of an IPhone like me it’s even easier. Basically just hold your phone next to the device and it takes care of the rest. It does not run hot. It’s cool to the touch. It has a small footprint but weighs a solid pound or so which helps keep it in place on top of my 4K Blu-ray player. HBO MaX does not have 4K available. So HBO did not look good on ROKU. But this device upscales the picture and HBO looks great now. Now as good as my 4K Netflix picture or my streaming channels like ABC or NBC but it looks great still. I cannot day enough about this streaming device. I had Direct Tv since 1996 and couldn’t take their outrageous prices anymore and their customer service got terrible. I signed a 2 year Dish TV contract with their Hopper 3 product for a reasonable price but it is severely lacking. If I could rewind the clock about 3 months I would not but the ROKU Premiere device. I would not sign that Dish contract. I would simple get rid of direct tv go straight to Best Buy and get this Apple TV device and stream everything from now on on this one device. I just can’t say enough about it. And I’m an early adopter and 59 years old. I was the first to get everything in the last 30 years as it’s come along. This is right near the top of one of the best purchases I have made through those years. Don’t hesitate. Get this thing. And dump everything else you have. You will figure out what packages to put together to get all you want. The local channels and sports are still the biggest hurdles for streaming. But with a 50-60 dollar package to HULU or YouTube or others you will get what you need. Just add Netflix and HBO Max and for under a hundred bucks you have an amazing tv package and this wonderfully designed and works flawlessly Apple TV.. Can’t recommend it highly enough. I've always wanted to buy an Apple TV. Now, I got my hands on the 4K version. All I can say is "WOW, I should have brought one a long time ago." I used the Apple TV for my conference room. I put it behind my TV so that no one knows that it's there. The functionality and the ease of use is just superb. If you're an Apple user and it's your first time using this, dont worry. It's super easy to use. My conference room is a descent size. Since the Apple TV is hidden, I was worried that the remote will have connection error. NOPE! Works ALL THE TIME. Picture quality at 4K is just intoxicating to watch. You must have a 4K TV to fully utilize it. My kids watches movies when I'm working late and they are just glued to it. Screen mirroring in this bad boy is just way too easy. If I need to share something on my Macbook, iphone or ipad, it's just a simple few click, and you're there. Again, the ease of use on this thing is just bar none! Prize just right.

I’m a huge fan of Apple but for some reason always shied away from trying this. I’m used to Roku, did Chromecast, etc. The thing that always held me back was negative reviews and comments about the remote control. It’s NOT that complicated especially if you have or do use a computer. It took me about 30 minutes of playing with it to get the feel of operating it smoothly but it comes with a little instruction pack that explains everything simply. I LOVE IT! It’s an amazing system! It’s so simple to use and you can add HBO MAX and many other channels watch it right away!! I now find myself watching more on Apple TV than Roku and I canceled ATT.tv altogether! Give it a try! It’s a dream product once you get the hang of the remote. ONE THING TO MENTION THOUGH: You DO NEED AN HDMI cord to set it up which is NOT INCLUDED. Make sure you pick one up before you do your setup. Best Buy has many great choices for those, too!

Ease of use, siri voice control, simple remote, amazing picture quality. And I'm not an Apple person.... so I would imagine, well I know that iPhone users love this too. 1 issue they need to solve like yesterday. Engaging dolby atmos along with at least the LG CX OLED creates an endless loop of audio cut out. On one second off one second... tv speakers, sound bar, headphones. Only option is to kill the atmos/eARC on the Apple tv. So if you have these 2, ATV and LG OLED, and then want atmos, you're I trouble. I have it with one of my tv combos, so I use WebOS on tv for atmos watching. Pretty annoying. LG and Apple blame each other. Not helpful. But besides that issue.... ..I do hone theater work and it's pretty easy to justify the cost on this. Make sure you buy the 4k version as the 1080p is same box, same look, similar price. Dolby vision amazing. My spectrum tv app looks amazing which is my main cable. I can't say enough about the product. I'm a harsh critic as well.

This replaces my early model Apple TV because we spend so much time streaming these days, thought I would get the latest model. I discovered long ago, that my Apple TV would steam programs with noticeable improvement over the built-in smart TV tuner, so with exception of the news of the day, or special network programs, go directly to the Apple TV to browse various services. It is indeed a dazzling display with all recent programs started listed right at top, no matter what platform they are on. (A little nuisance, but fun feature is an automatic preview of any program where search is positioned.) For me, the only reason didn't rate a 5 star, is the remote is small for my stiff fingers. I have trouble with the touch pad control, not always responsive for me, but generally works ok. Maybe with time I will get used to it. (It has voice control that may be worth trying.)

We bought this Apple TV 4K a month ago. We just "cut the cord," cancelling U-verse, and trying HULU instead. We'd had a 3rd-generation Apple TV, but this earlier model didn't have the "oomph" needed to handle the latest version of HULU. Hence, the purchase. We like Apple--and love the way the Apple TV 4K device seamlessly can cast photos & videos from our iPhones to our big-screen TV. The one tricky part: in navigating HULU, one has to move from one menu-heading to another. That means swiping on the Apple's "touch-surface." But this isn't always easy: sometimes, my "swipe" moves the cursor too far past my intended destination. I'm getting better--but still find the touch-surface a bit over-sensitive. Maybe I just need more practice. One other thing: our TV programs look excellent--better, I think, than when we had U-verse. I think the Apple TV 4K is the reason.

AppleTV 4K is amazing when it comes to streaming. The Apple TV synced up very well with my TV and sound bar. You only have to use the single AppleTV remote with your setup. Easy to use and the video/audio output is AMAZING! We have one in every room now

The Apple TV is the best 4K streaming box in 2018. You can stream movies from iTunes in HDR or Dolby Vision and you can stream with Dolby Atmos audio. The Roku Ultra is the 2nd best streaming box but it doesn't have Dolby Vision or Dolby Atmos. The Apple TV can stream content from Netflix HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, STARZ, Hulu, Amazon Prime, YouTube, ESPN, NFL, NBA, and MLB. You can stream music through Apple Music. There is also an App Store available in case you want to download games. To be fair and balanced I'll list a couple of cons: - The login process for an app like HBO requires too many steps. I have Spectrum Cable and I'm forced to login to every app individually. - YouTube doesn't stream in 4K. The Roku Ultra does though. Bottom line...the Apple TV streams in the best video and audio formats, it streams music, and it streams games. If you own an iPhone or iPad you can also watch your personal videos and personal pics on your TV with ease.

We love it! We purchased a second one. One for inside and one for outside. My wife and I learned how to play the ukulele and the Apple TV allowed us to share our phones and the apps we liked the most for learning. You can do anything on your tv that you can with your phone, share pictures or whatever. It really has made it easy so much to learn! We constantly use them both!

I bought a smart bike trainer to get in shape in the winter. At first I was able to run Zwift (an app that provides virtual bike riding with adjustment of difficulty on hills) on my Galaxy S9+ and mirror my screen to my Samsung TV but after the Android 10 update that didn't work any more. I was able to download the Zwift app on the Apple TV. I had to setup an iTunes account through my Windows 10 computer since I don't own any other Apple products. The app works great and pairs the cadence, heart rate and smart trainer sensors. This tv will primarily be used for the trainer but on occasion be used to watch other content.

WE LOVE OUR APPLE TV!...and EVERY OTHER ONE WE’VE OWNED PRIOR. My husband and I always lose the Apple TV remote (very sleek), so we LOVE having the option to download the Apple TV “remote” app so we can control the TV from our iPhones! I find it much more convenient to use and I never lose it. What’s even better?...the apps! I LOVE the apps we have access to with the Apple TV! We watch the Investigation Discovery (ID) Channel a lot so it’s great having the ID app which contains an endless supply of true crime shows and specials: all seasons and episodes. The other feature we use a lot is “screen mirroring” which can be done using an iPad or iPhone. Mirroring takes the content you’re watching or reading on your phone (ex: a YouTube clip, a webpage, your photos) and projects it onto your TV screen so it can be shared with others on a larger screen. The Apple TV is dynamic, high quality, and a great way to get rid of cable TV too!

I love this Apple TV and it is the media hub of my TV. I have hundreds of movies and tv shows from the iTunes Store that look great with the support of 4K. I run all my apps from this box (Hulu, Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube TV, etc) and they run without a hitch or lag. The remote is the only one I need since it turns the TV on and off as the box is powered on and off. I even got a mount for it on Amazon so I don’t see it , or any cords, and the remote works great even with the thing mounted to the back of my TV. I also love the fact that I can Airplay things and mirror the screens of my phone and iPad directly to my TV with this thing. I definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a streaming box.

I bought a 2nd home in a rural location, and the only internet available at that location included a super slow internet with minimal bandwidth. All that was available there was a 10 Mbps plan. There were no over the air television stations available to receive there. I was concerned about being able to receive programming. I bought an AppleTV 4K to bring content to me and was concerned about buffering but it worked like a charm. I have a satellite subscription at my primary residence so I was entitled to many of the channels streams and I was able to activate many of the apps for those providers after visiting the Apple App Store and downloading their apps. Buffering has been minimal even with my 10 Mbps bandwidth. AppleTV 4K does just what I had in mind. I have been experimenting with a card cutting notion but if I didn't have the satellite subscription I wouldn't have had access to many of the provider's streams. However I am able to receive ample programming with the slowest internet Ive ever had. The AppleTV pairs well with the Apple HomePod. I was able to integrate 2 HomePods to receive stereo audio with minimal cables and wires. My wife really appreciated that. Pushing a rich sounding soundtrack via Airplay2 my living room now resonates with rich sounding booming audio supported by Dolby Atmos and great stereo separation. For simply listening to music, I can manually stream my iTunes library from my iPhone or iPad and listen to my music just like at my other home or in my car. I can also invoke Siri to play music and my playlist can resume or pause via voice commands. I can also connect from my MacBook Pro to mirror and share my computer screen to the AppleTV 4K for viewing pictures or video, other content. All in all the AppleTV 4K lives up to my expectations and I am enjoying programming via my internet connection which is not as fast as I would like but should also improve with time. This has been a proof of concept and I anticipate much more enjoyment as the system is updated and new technology is incorporated into this system.

Yes I’ve used Roku, Amazon Fire, Xbox & PS4 but to me the Apple TV is by far the best choice... It’s the only one that has the best picture quality and sound out of them all and it also is the only one that has all of the popular streaming apps on day one like HBO Max and from years past Vudu so I would highly recommend this device before and over the rest.

I bought this for my 720p projector and future proofed myself for when I go 4K. So easy to use. It works great with my harmony remote and iPhone. Highly recommend!

I bought this in October as I anticipated the new steaming app from Disney+ and the new shows from Apple TV. Looks great on my 4K tv. Love having 4K res and Dolby Vision. Great device, easy to use and super convenient. Highly recommended!

It's really good. It has a ton of technology and the quality of some videos are amazing. I also like the ability to use my phone as the remote for the Apple TV when I'm searching for an app or a video.
