This was extremely easy to hook up once I put it on the proper TV. You must have a 4K TV for this to work. That I figured out the hard way after disconnecting and reconnecting everything attached to my TV. Anyway, once I figured out my mistake this worked perfectly. Very simple to hook up, set up and use. Great picture and love that I can stream iTunes through my TV sound system.

The AppleTV 4K is a no-brainer for those who are in Apple's ecosystem. But now, with MoviesAnywhere and Vudu streaming apps available, even if you've purchased your content elsewhere, it's easy to access it on an AppleTV. The UI is the smoothest and easiest to navigate of the streaming boxes, never feeling sluggish or under-powered. However, it's overpriced. In a perfect world, Apple would consolidate the product line to a 32GB non-4K AppleTV priced at $49 and a 64GB 4K AppleTV priced at $99. While the experience of using it is better than using an Amazon Fire device, Roku, or Chromecast; the other devices are now good enough that there's little to justify the gigantic price delta. Still, if you don't mind paying the "Apple tax" or just want the best streaming device available, The AppleTV 4K is the one to get.

I'm admittedly a fan of Apple products, I work on a Mac at work and at home, have an iphone, ipad, so having an AppleTV is a natural progression. All that said, I do love how easy it is to "Airplay" to my tv, in addition to the high quality picture for my streaming of shows and movies directly from the device itself. And it now allows for the Amazon Prime channel! I use this in addition to a Roku and honestly I love the ease of use for the AppleTV, the interface is better on the AppleTV. If Apple could get the ok to have the Spectrum channel on it's AppleTV device then I'd honestly have no need for the Roku. At any rate - I can give the AppleTV two thumbs up and wouldn't hesitate recommending to a friend. iTunes frequently has great deals on their digital content - which can then be streamed via this device - bonus!

I’m not one to write reviews on products that I buy. But I had to write it for this one. I was very skeptical on buying a streaming device because my theory was, why am I going to buy a 180 dollar streaming device if I have my Xbox or playstation or I can buy one for 40 bucks. Then they announced this 4k model and still a little skeptical. At the end of the day, I went with the Apple TV 4K. My first Apple TV in my life and I tell you what, it was the best 180 dollars I’ve ever spent. The quality of the product and the simplicity that Apple always offers is amazing. This Apple TV 4K will be my one and only streaming device. And as for video quality? Out of this world!! Absolutely fantastic!!

As usual, this unit exceed my expectation. It is very easy to setup and use although the remote makes you think at first and get familiarize. It is also fast in moving from one app to another as you don't need to logoff and login when you close the previous app. Opening an app is quicker than any other devices I own like Samsung Blu-ray players (have 2) with smart apps and PS3/PS4. Though it is more expensive than Amazon Firestick and Cube, I still like it because of it is very easy to use the mirroring feature from my cell to the Apple TV due to full compatibility and no need to install additional app. If you have a budget, I highly recommend this.

Great picture and features with the auto upgrade to 4k on movies you purchased already. This is a great upgrade and yes more expensive than some of the other streaming devices out there but the quality and features are there to justify it. Apple I think has done a good upgrade as was disappointed in the last one but this has made up for it on the apple TV.

Used amazon fire tv before I bought the Apple TV. It’s not even close, Apple TV works perfectly. No glitches and problems that I had with my fire tv. Easy to use, fast processing and Amazing picture if you have it hooked up to a 4K UHD tv. I stream most of the stuff I watch and most content is in 4K and uhd format. Its perfect if you have the right set up.

This is our 3rd Apple TV in our house, and 2nd 4K version. Being able to download all of our streaming apps is very convenient, plus having the ability to watch movies in Dolby Vision and HDR is amazing! We have a Denon AVR-S739H, which allows us to utilize the Atmos option. We paired this up with a Hisense H9G and the picture quality is top-notch. The only downside I would say is the remote can be a little temperamental at times. I use voice commands most of the time to search and the integration with my iPhone makes most tasks a breeze. If you want a stand-alone streaming device and love Apple products, this is a must-own!

The first thing you notice is the clarity of the pictures. Super easy to setup, especially if you have iPhone or ipad, you just hold it near the device and it will almost auto configure. Again the picture quality is amazing. The remote is a little different too, and feels nice in your hand. Gives you complete control. Love it! -- bought two :)

Great picture quality and very easy to use and also very fast

This is the Apple TV we've all been waiting for. Finally 4K, and now with HDR. If you have a 4K television with HDR that can take advantage of these features, the picture is amazing and the Apple TV interface makes using apps and access the content you want quite easy.

This is a great product it is fast, it has a cooling fan which I thought was impressive. The remote is not very responsive at times, it kind of gets on my nerves a little. Quality is great as well, and I do not have a 4k TV. I recommend this product. The faster gigabit Ethernet connections worth the upgrade as well. It is built for speed.

We like the box, its fast, its very easy to use, we like that we can use the remote on our phones. Great app selection and works well with our tv provider. The picture is amazing. If you have a 4K tv and have switched from HD cable, you can notice the difference.

I have been wanting an Apple TV 4K for a while. So far it has lived to its reputation. It is very easy to use and setup. If you are already an apple user then this is a great addition to their ecosystem. The Siri integration is great and I like the integration with the iPhone and iPad. I found it a lot faster than the Roku Ultra which I also have. The remote control although nice and clean could have use a little bit of work such as it would have been nice to add an audio jack similar to Roku remote control, or a finder in case the remote control is misplaced. But overall pretty please. Was waiting for Apple to come out with a new Apple TV before their Apple TV+ launch but that didn't happen. Would have been nice for a spec upgrade so that would be future proof more than it is now. I can see myself also using this for gaming which I already did and to pair it with Arcade from Apple would be a great addition. The only downside as I said it is that it is still running and older chip so an upgrade would have been great. Or if Apple was not planning to upgrade they should lower the price. I got a good deal on it otherwise would have waited to see if Apple releases a new one with more bells and whistles.

Best picture quality, great for streaming,easy setup

I had an older model Apple-tv unit but when I upgraded to a 4K -tv I wanted to have the best streaming possible. I have always enjoyed Apple products and so far this unit is standing up to the hype! My wife doesn't see the difference in a 4K picture...But I DO! You know what they say..."if Daddy is happy, EVERYBODY is happy!"

I've owned all the digital streamers Roku, FireTV, Chromecast, AppleTV. This is the best out of them all. If you already have an Apple ecosystem its well worth it the extra cost compared to the other streamers on the market. You're already purchased movies are automatically upgraded to 4K versions (not all movies though).

I bought this to replace a Roku mostly because I also do home automation and wanted a Homekit hub at my house. The AppleTV will double as a homekit hub, plus I expected it would work better with my TV. For the most part the Apple TV works well. The picture quality is awesome. It also upscales everything to 4K so the TV isn't switching resolutions from show to show. I'm not fully sold on the remote. In a way I like the simple Roku remote better, but the Apple remote of course can do more. If you have an iPhone one thing that is cool is that when you need to enter passcodes or type some long thing on the TV you can actually do it using your iPhone. That can really be helpful at times. Overall it's good. Build quality is great. The only issue I have is that there are more times when it ends up pausing when I'm streaming some sort of show. I get the impression that Roku more frequently chooses a lower quality feed from the provider, or maybe Roku does a better job of buffering. But I rarely had Roku pause when I was streaming something. That happens a lot of the Apple TV. I have a pretty high bandwidth connection at home - 250 Mbps downloads - so I've been a bit surprised by that. But overall I like the device.

I bought a new 4K UHD TV so I bought this Apple TV 4K. It’s much faster than the former Apple TV system which I’ve had in my family room. The remote is overly sensitive but one you have set up the system and assuming you have a universal learn8g remote, u won’t have to use it anymore. Picture clarity in 4K is awesome.
