Can I download my own apps? null

You're limited to what you can download by what's on the appstore. However there are a lot of apps to choose from, far more than what comes preloaded.

For most apps, yes, but but all! If the app is available on the apple tv app store, you can download it. Not all apps are available on the apple tv though. For example, Spotify is not available on the apple tv, even though it is for the iPhone.

You can download the apps you have on your phone that has a TV app for it. Mostly all streaming services are there including games.
