“One of the choices of screen aspect is 1080p HDR. What is this? I thought HDR was only for 4K.”

• We bought this not only because we love Apple products but because it would be 4K ready when we upgrade our TV. It works just beautifully on our LG HD tv until that time!

• 4K and HDR are two different things, while it is possible to have a 1080p HDR display they aren’t common since the entire industry is moving toward 4K. Companies aren’t going to put a lot of money into the development of “old” 1080p tech

• With the new apple 4K it ask you if you want to select the new Dolby Hd which I noticed was a lot sharper when operating in that mode
