So I bought one and am going to answer my own question in case it helps anyone else wanting to know. The answer is yes, you can download youtube TV app from Apple App Store free. This model allowed me to download it and it works flawlessly unlike Roku. Like the previous answer mentioned you do need to have a paid account for youtube TV but the download is free and you'll love being able to navigate the interface with either the included remote or you tv's remote because this model will learn your tv's remote effortlessly regardless of the modeltv you have. Roku stick and Roku Ultra have known issues going back to 2018 with the YouTube TV app. I tried it anyway and had to return the Roku and this is May 2019. Roku should have had it fixed by now.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i haven’t tried YouTube TV but if you have a subscription then yes you can get it. The remote will allow for power and volume. Apple TV and the TV will turn themselves off after a period of inactivity. That’s a feature I really like. Hope this helps
