No, you rent movies and shows off itunes or watch netflix. Its not a cable or satilite provider.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and no. Entities such as Netflix and Hulu have monthly subscriptions, iTunes doesn't (it is per-showing). Streaming is not the same as live broadcast. Available shows are those that have already been broadcast at their regular "TV Guide" time slot, some appear as quickly as one hour after the airtime show ends. ABC Player for iPad or the ABC website via a computer will be updated this way, usually one hour after. Not all TV viewing is available with this method either. Such things as local or regional news/weather and some daytime/daily shows won't be, but most nationwide broadcast material (ie: from the big three; ABC, CBS, & NBC) will be.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You pay 99 cents in most cases to rent a TV show. The selection is more limited than full cable, and you will be charged for whatever you watched at the end of the week just like any other iTunes purchases.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The AppleTV streams iTunes media and media from sites like Flickr, Netflix, YouTube, etc. Hulu is a popular, yet not a supported site at this time. I suspect you'll find that TV shows that are not found on Netflix or Youtube will stream audio only - no video.
