“Can I run Apple TV through my dvd player HDMI port? My HDTV does not have a HDMI port, but my DVD player does. Can i run the Apple TV hdmi cable directly into my DVD player hdmi port? My DVD player is connected to my TV with standard red/white/yellow plugs. I assume apple TV would run fine this way though my DVD player, right?”

• No, the HDMI port on your DVD player is an output only, not an input. It is an alternative to using the red, white, yellow connections (if your TV had a HDMI input).

• NO, has to be a hdmi on the TV, for Apple TV to work the best.

• I suspect your HDMI on the DVD player is designed for output to an HDMI input on a TV. If your DVD player is configured with an HDMI input to act as an HDMI splitter you may be able to do this. My first guess however is that this will not work.
