• The remote is a very small, pack of 5 stick gum. It has about 4 or so buttons on it. However, if you have an iPhone, or iPad, you can download the free Remote app, and it syncs very easily and you can use that instead. That's what I prefer. You just need to be sure the iphone/ipad and the Apple TV are on the same Wireless network.

• The remote lacks a little, but there is an app by apple called remote on the app store that lets you use you i-device as an remote.

• No, it is a simple remote with play-pause menu etc. If you have an iPod Touch or an iPhone then you can use that as a remote as well.
