Yes, wirelessly or through an ethernet cable. It hooks into your tv with an hdmi cable.

Please try again later.Apple TV doesn't "transmit" per se, rather it receives from the home network (wired or wireless) and "moves" the signal (after processing) to the hdtv via the HDMI cable. You can view pics and slide shows on your TV directly from your mac/macbook via Apple TV as long as the computer is on the same home network.
