• The tv must have an available HDMI port and support 720p media... most older tube TVs don't.

• As long the TV has a HDMI type connector input, it will work. If the TV has a digital TV signal converter box connected to it so the TV can be used to watch digital television, the said HDMI input would need to be on that box. I haven't seen a converter box that has HDMI capability though...

• It only works with HDTVs because you need an HDMI cable cord in order to connect the Apple TV to your TV.
