No this is a very nice light weight band that does not itch. I am glad I went with this band over the other one. Really happy with it

I did not find it itchy. But I prefer the milanese loop and use it all the time.

I haven’t noticed any difference between this and my other Apple nylon sport loops.

It’s actually really soft and comfortable. I had the same band on a previous model and it’s the most comfortable band they have.
