A:Answer The GPS+cellular watch uses your telephone & telephone number for phone calls, texts, etc when you’re connected to your phone via bluetooth and also independently when your phone is out of range. The GPS only version connects via bluetooth and only works when your phone is connected and in range. It works on most cellular networks, but your phone and watch have to use the same network. I have Verizon for both my watch (series 3) and my iPhone, and it costs roughly $10-15 a month through Verizon to use my watch as “another line”. If you don’t want to use your watch independently and pay an additional monthly amount to your service provider, I suggest buying the GPS only version and saving yourself $100. It all depends on how you intend to use your watch.
