• Arlo SmartHubs/Base Stations, and Apple HomeKit are not currently compatible with the Arlo Essential Outdoor Camera (2nd Generation) at launch. We expect Base Station/SmartHub and Apple HomeKit support to be made available in a future firmware release.

• this camera set requires a separate base station. some sets include the base. fyi this set also requires a paid monthly subscription to use recorded videos. You only have access to live video without it.
