I have had Internet failures and power failures and in both cases after the service is restored and the camera boots (if it was the power) then it will jump back online automatically. Hope this helps

From what I can tell, if the internet is off the camera won't work. Once the internet is back online so will the camera.Can definitely be a flaw depending upon your needs for the camera. I use it specifically for a live feed on my puppy so I will be ok with a power outage temporarily.

Get the Arlo Q Plus. It has a card slot so it has on site storage. Of course a burgled could just steal the camera but probably wouldn't know to.
