A:Answer Yes, it will work through a window and walls. However the further you place the camera from the base, the lower the signal. I have one about 30 feet and through one wall and then one window and it works fine and has 2 of 3 bars. The one nearest the base, about 10 feet and no walls or window, has 3 bars. The manufacture says with no walls or windows you can go 300 feet, but once you add walls, (windows don't affect them much), then you loose signal, as line of sight is strongest.
