I bought the Solar panels from Amazon and made by Wasserstein. You can get 2 for $75. They keep my batteries fully charged all the time. The ones you can plug in to a wall outlet are also very desirable. Otherwise get the dual charger and a couple of extra batteries as traffic will shorten the battery life considerably. I got these for surveillance and I got Simply Safe for the keypad ALARM system. The two systems work great and I don't need to pay for a service on either one of them, (I am on social security and can't afford the monthly service fees). Love my system and with the correct measures battery life should not be a problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Very tricky question. It really depends upon your settings and the number of triggers/recordings. In my busy suburban neighborhood I was able to kill the battery in as little as 2 days. So I really had to tune it down. Lower the video quality. Lower the length of recordings. Turn off spotlight etc.... I was getting as many as a dozen alerts per hour (vehicles passing by, people passing buy etc...) If you live in a quiet area - say a rural farm far away from "triggers" then I'd bet you could get much longer (also, indoors I would think would last much longer due to fewer triggers). I haven't had it up a week yet - but I'm betting under "normal" conditions I'll get a few weeks - but certainly not the few months they've advertised. I bought the charger instead :-) Note, by the way, if you want to use the CVR continuous recording, you the charger is mandatory.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on if the camera is set up in a high traffic area or not. We typically have to charge our cameras about monthly. Those which do not sit in high traffic areas are charged about every 1 1/2 -2 months.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm averaging about 3 weeks with motion turned on and the light as well when at night. It really all depends upon how often it captures video and the length of each new clip.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It really depends on usage and how you set your sensitivity and area of coverage. My porch camera can last me almost a month before it hits 45% as there is no traffic back there. On the other hand my driveway camera will last me around a week before it goes under 40%. So the placement of the camera, the sensitivity and area of coverage is a major factor on how long does your battery life last before charging.
