• Yes, just tell them you want to buy your own modem and they should email you a list of compatible modems. Then once you buy your own, call them back with the MAC# -serial number, and they will program the new modem into their system for you. If their is a problem with your modem, and you own it, they will not repair it. I have had a home computer for almost 35 years and never had a modem issue.
