• Operating system is irrelevant, as access to configuration is via web page. System only provides access to internet provided by Cable provider. Router function would work seamlessly regardless of platform.

• Yes, it's designed to service new on old technology and software. The newer your technology, the more you can gain from this Motorola eXtreme. i use it for both apple and Microsoft devices with new and old windows. No issues with apple nor PC, Android devices.
