I also have a Belkin router (had this prior to upgrading my cable modem) so do I no longer need to use the Belkin router since I have this unit? Or do I still have to use the Belkin router? This cable modem/wireless router should handle everything without the need for the bel kin. You ssid's and password should be on the paperwork that came with the unit.

Please try again later.if your modem is wireless as well as 4 port Ethernet then no you don't need your belkin if your new unit has wireless then ti should have flashing lights on front and a easy connect button on top to connect without password.in short read manual to see if your unit is wireless if so no router is needed

Please try again later.This unit does not put out a wireless signal, so if you want that you have to connect this modem to a wireless router (which I assume your Belkin is). If your old router is not ac protocol this might be a good time to upgrade. ac puts out a stronger signal even for n protocol wireless devices (i.e. laptops) If you are not wireless you can run an Ethernet cable directly into your PC or switch.
