Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, had the same problem here! I use a line in for my telephone but there's not one on the back. My cable company ended up coming out and providing me with a box just for my phone & they used a spliter on my coaxial cable so I could use both boxes. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This one has 4 ports. If you need more ports, purchase a multi port data switch. They are very cheap and come in 4,8,12,16,32 port sizes with a price range of $25 and up. Cable modems normally do not have a so called phone port, as they have 8 pin data ports. In most cases they only have one of those. Most purchase a router which will have WiFi and several ports on the back.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This modem router is not compatible with telephone internet. It runs only on cable systems which are typically much faster than the phone company's DSL. Will need to return this unit and get one that says "DSL modem/router" on the box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mike, This modem is a cable modem. It interfaces with your cable provider and provides your internet into you home via wireless 2.4ghz/ 5ghz, or one of the 4 Ethernet ports(jacks) on the back for a wired connection. Not sure what you are looking for a phone port for unless VoIP in which case you will need you VoIP adapter provided by whom ever is providing the VoIP service. It will then connect to this cable modem and provide you with phone service on a standard rj11 jack which is a typical phone jack. Hope this helps.
