Actually, virtually all Windows 11 computers - just like Windows 10 - come with an Office 365 special link that takes you to what's called "Office on the Web" - free online versions of Word, Excel and Powerpoint that you don't have to purchase as long as you have a Microsoft Account. You can store your data on OneDrive or your local drive but you can only use the apps while you are online. So, in a way, it does come with Word - just not the offline version.

No, but you can download Libre Office for free, and you can save your work as MS Word documents. Same for the spreadsheets. Slight learning curve, but plenty of tutorials online.
