QuestionOverwritten OS? I keep getting messages stating certain functions and programs will not work because they aren't available or compatible with Windows 10. I am wondering if I received a refurbished machine, or if this is how all of these laptops are.

- Answer I ordered my Asus with Windows 7 preloaded because I couldn't stand Windows 8/10. I would "suspect" that your machine originally had Windows 7 loaded on it and it was later upgraded to Windows 10.

QuestionAre these machines still available with windows 7 pro on them? I would order one but i do not want a machine with Windows 10 (or 8) on it. I want windows 7 Pro.

- Answer I found the same problem and it is annoying. Usually I try out the computers in the store first but none was available in the store and I waned one with Windows 7 Professional and not Windows 10 -- so I wasn't aware of the computer not having any keyboard lights.

QuestionI was wondering if I purchased this from Best Buy and had them replace the HD with a SSD & added a 2nd memory stick to brink this to 16 gig would this be: A. possible B. would it void the warranty?

QuestionDoes this laptop have a bay for a second hard drive?

- Answer I'm pretty certain it does NOT have an open bay for a second drive but the other answer is incorrect. It DOES have an optical drive and I'm pretty certain there is an open slot to add 2nd stick of RAM. The HDD can be replaced with SSD. There are youtube videos for both these things.
