If you are streaming games played on the laptop, i would suggest just using OBS(Open Broadcast Software) which is free to download, if you are streaming from an Xbox One or PS4, they both have live streaming software built into them. The only real reason I can see you needing an Elgato is if you are using a Xbox 360 or a PS3. And this laptop should be able to run a live stream just fine, but it would also depend on how strong your internet connection is to avoid and lag issues.
