I would return it. I've bought two of these as well as one of its predecessor and none of them had those issues. I believe you have a defective unit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know about the ASUS and being dropped. Boot up time is about 20 secs with original hard drive. If you put an SSD drive in it goes down under 10 secs. If you turned it on and have freezing, I would return it for another, it could be a bad hard drive and if it was dropped that would make sense. I paid 849 on sale. The other thing would be that the OS is corrupt, but I would think a factory restore would fix that unless it too is bad. I would return it, mostly hard drive issue. You could run a check disk on the drive and see if there are any bad sectors... Good luck
