It's vents out the back between the chassis and the hinge, and it's fairly thick with very low-power components. Plenty of room for heat dissipation within the unit before it even gets to the fan. It's one of the few laptops I feel comfortable using in bed because it won't overheat, and it never gets uncomfortably hot in my lap.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same laptop as you and I have had no problems with the laptop in my lap. It doesn't get real hot like Toshiba. Good Luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had it in my lap for about 3 hours yesterday with no issues. I may have had a blanket underneath it for part of the time, though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ASUS laptop does not get "hot' while it's on you lap. Other than ASUS I had a Toshiba laptop on my lap which actually burned my lap. No problem with the ASUS
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had no problems with heat. I had it cloning the drive for over 7 hours on my table and it was OK. Should be fine, but it is heavy so I can not see it sitting on your lap for hours and hours.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no problem, but didn't have it on my lap for hours. If that is the goal, a laptop desk is useful.
