QuestionRam and SSD upgrade abalityWhat is the max RAM (Crucial Scan?) this unit will support and does it have a mSATA to install an SSD? Or does the system have additional HDD bays? I would like to install an SSD for the OS and applications and use the 2TB for files storage.

- Answer From my research, this laptop can be upgraded to 16GB of RAM. You can also swap out the slow 5400 RPM hard drive to an SSD hard drive.

QuestionWhat size battery does this laptop have and how long is battery life?

- Answer I cannot tell you battery specifics for this laptop but i can speak for the battery life. For very heavy use (Touch Screen or Gaming) i have had it last almost 3.5hrs, and almost 4.5hrs with mediocre use. I'd say thats pretty good for a touch screen laptop.

QuestionDoes it come with an external speaker?The first time i went in to inquire about this laptop, it was mentioned that it comes with an external speaker, when i bought it today i realized after I got home it didn't. Was the sales person incorrect? The display laptop had a speaker plugged in so it would seem that i came with one.

- Answer I asked asus.com support, they told me model Q553UB have Contrast Ratio : 700 and Surface Luminance, white : 300 cd/m2. So what accurate? Contrast ratio 700 or 500? Brightness 220nits or 300nits?
