QuestionDoes this require a tower or computer with it, or can it be used as a stand alone monitor for gaming and browsing the web? For example if I buy just this can it be used normally?

- Answer It's got all the normal connection ports, etc...no tower needed, but it'll need something attached. It doesn't have any intelligence within it.

QuestionRemote included with this?Is there a remote included with this monitor? If not, how does one adjust the volume back up? The "volume control" button at the bottom of the monitor only allows you to turn the volume down. Now I have a monitor with no sound coming out of it. Not impressed. Also, no manual included, just a sheet that showed how to attach the stand and what the different connectors are. Almost sent it back before I figured out it needed a HDMI cable connected before it would power up. Other than that I'm very happy with it.

- Answer VS278Q does not come nor does it require a remote control. The volume can be adjusted by simply going to the monitor's On Screen Display's System Setup option. Please feel free to download the .pdf manual: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/LCD%20Monitors/ASUS_VS278_UserGuide_English.pdf

QuestionI will use a 3 monitor set up for pc gaming, can 3 of these monitors be daisy chained together for the surround experience I want to achieve? Please see the attached photo of where the monitors will be used. Thanks for your help.

- Answer The ability of what can be displayed on the monitors is purely a function of what is sending video data to them. If you have a computer which is capable of sending out three signals in a panoramic orientation as shown, then you should be fine. There is no software built-in to the monitors that would allow you to share or split the image across monitors. That is purely a function of what is running on the computer(s) that are sending video signal to the monitors.

- Answer I believe you can but you may need a docking station for your laptop. And a keyboard and mouse. It'd be a good idea to talk with your local Best Buy store to be sure.

QuestionCan the monitor be rotatedon it’s stand and/or mounted on a wall vertically and have a screen replicated from a surface pro onto it vertically as well via hdmi chord?

- Answer The ability to rotate what is displayed on the monitor is not a function of the monitor, but of the computer/software sending an image to the monitor. So, you'll have to check with surface to see what's possible. As for mounting the monitor on the wall or switching the orientation, the included base will only accommodate horizontal orientation. If you want vertical orientation you will need to provide an appropriate VESA mount.
