Was the initial price $1049! What happened Bestbuy??? null

We got this for my college-age daughter to replace a Surface Pro3. So far she is pretty happy with it and think that the price for a small, light laptop that has the latest i7 processor, 512Gb SSD and 16Gb memory was very reasonable. I recently got a desktop system that cost that much and had a smaller SSD.
