“Yes, I am having the same problem, I thought with the SSD storage the machine won't heat up that much and the fan won't be running high. The noise of the fan interferes with my calls. Also why are the speakers not loud?”

we haven't found the fan noise objectionable. Check your power settings and firmware updates to see if they've tweaked the fan operation. Any machine in this class, with this configuration, will generate a fair amount of heat.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The heat comes from the i7 processor. The SSD generates very little. A machine in that small a case doesn't have much space for speakers. We always use headphones anyway, in an office setting, so it's not an issue for us.
