“Just received the refurbished nexus tablet but it is not turning on. My wife and I just received the tablet today. When we tried turning it on, nothing happened. We decided to charge it for a while (~30 min) to see if that worked, but nothing either. Need help asap. Sincerely, Aaron Vang”

press and hold the power and volume buttons at the same time for at least 30 seconds it should prompt it to boot up.

Ensure the USB cable and AC adapter are securely connected from the tablet to a working power surge or AC outlet. The power button needs to be pressed all the way down to power on the system successfully.
