A:Answer You can technically use the usb charger that comes with the Ally to power this up. The ally will not charge as fast as it's spreading less wattage through the device, but it works fine. To unlock it's full potential, but a 140w usb-c charger to pair with this, which ASUS does make. It's a bit pricey but 140w chargers are very expensive usually and throwing this in the box with the dock would raise the cost to about 200 plus, so they are giving us the option to use our already available charger or add the high powered option. Paired with the 140w charger this thing turns your Ally into full blown PC with monitor support and will power your peripherals as well.
