- Answer Yes, it works very well (for streaming too), and I recommend this router. I would buy it again. I also strongly recommend the Best Buy warranty extension so you get no hassle if the particular one you get turns out to be a lemon. Sigh, mother nature doesn't allow perfection.

- Answer I am always transferring files from one computer to my editing PC using wireless and cabled on my network. I have not had any problems doing this. I stream out to my other TVs full HD movies using cabled and wireless, again I have no issues doing this. I have 3-4 PC up and running normally and depending on what I am doing they all have the ability to download files from storage and not have any issues, plus with other device streaming online broadcast and still no issues. I am not sure what the limit is nut AI have not found that limit...yet :-)...

QuestionHow can you get 11000mb/s WiFi is you only have a max of 2500mb/s Ethernet?? I don’t see how this is possible

- Answer 11000mbps is the maximum possible speed. If your home network does not have an external connection at that rate, your external speed will not be that high. Your internal connection will be able to hit that speed if you have compatible devices.

QuestionWe have the GT-AX11000 and after much playing around, one Lan Port shows 100mbps instead of 1000mbps. the latest firmware upgrade seemed to help but not entirely. I have the system set up as AiMESH. Any ideas?

- Answer I apologize for those claiming you absolutely need a modem. That is very dependent on what your internet access point is. If your internet enters your house on RJ45 you absolutely do not need a stand alone modem. If it enters as a phone line or coax (cable) line, then yes you do. I run this as a modem/router with 1gig fiber. The switch is done by the ISP outside my house and delivered into my house on RJ45 ports.

QuestionI have internet thru AT&T but im right outside their 100 mgs tower area so i only have 50 mgs. We have a lot of gaming systems ipads laptops n smart tvs wut could i get to help with the laging.

- Answer Your speed is only as good as your internet provider plan and device allows. I have a 500mbps plan from xfinity and with this new router I get ~485mbps on my samsung note 10+ phone which is wifi 6 compatible, I get ~518mbps on my samsung galaxy tab s6 tablet, I get ~38mbps on a 5 year old HP laptop, I get ~32mbps on a 10 year old Sony laptop, plus I have a eharmony wifi remote system, a wireless Phillips Hue light system, a Ring security system, and 4 smart TVs connected to the network. I like the way this router automatically assigns the best frequency for the device. I haven't any problems with lagging using this router. Long story short, this router will definitely give you the maximum speed potential for your devices. It also has a lot of other bells and whistles for a gaming or non-gaming network. I plan on having it for several years to come and grow into the new wifi 6 network features.

- Answer If your devices support WiFi6, you can easily achieve the 1Gbps over WiFi. I have personally gotten to 2.2Gbps at 60 feet with walls and other barriers between two computers I own over WIFI with the AX11000. Obviously the closer you are to the router, the better the signal, though there is a “cap” to each of the 8 channels on the router, and it’s a total of 11Gbps with all 8 channels at maximum throughput.

- Answer On a single story (short of the garage) this would reach across the street (with very weak throughput). I would say this will cover a single story home very well (if you can put up with rebooting the router every few days).

QuestionHow many devices can stream at the same time? The specifications say it is MU-MIMO but not how many devices at once. Nighthawk can do 8. we work from home and videoconference. need two people doing this at same time as TV streaming.

- Answer I have 80 devices (smart door lock, 20 Amazon Dots, a few Echo's, 3 Shows, 3 Googles, about 15 smart bulbs, smart garage door, smart plugs, smart outlets, smart light switches, plus 3 smart TVs, a few iPads, smartwatch, 3 smart TV's, 3 laptops, smart washer, smart sprinkler, smart earbuds, smart headset, plus whatever else). I have an Asus AX-11000 upstairs and a Netgear Nighthawk (8000) downstairs (hard-wired together). This house is 3,000 feet. 478 download, 23 upload Internet speed. So far--everything feels solid (it was the AX11000 that added more capability)--but I am looking to add another Asus AX11000 when I can find it on sale--so these two can also form a mesh system.
