• In my experience, yes. This laptop frequently overheats. I would recommend either thermal paste or a cooling pad for it.

• Yes extremely normal. It’s compact and can take that but as an owner as well I recommend propping it up a little to allow better air flow. I reduced mine a lot by doing this
