This is a gaming monitor. It's mostly meant for Windows PCs and playing games. For watching UHD Blu-ray movies you should get a stand alone player and a TV. On a Windows PC you could use Cyberlink PowerDVD to watch UHD Blu-ray discs on this display if you had a Blu-ray drive capable of it and a 7th generation or newer Intel CPU. On a Mac I don't believe it is possible at this time.

Don’t know about Mac, I would highly assume you could but you can play 4K Blue Ray as long as the device connected to it supports that. It does not have integrated speakers. It does have a port for headphones on the back
