“I upgraded all my older laptops to Windows 10 (forcibly) they’re all basically bricked-except a 10+ year old Asus & it can only run the 1st version. If free upgrade to Windows 11 from 10, will this laptop be able to handle? Any performance issues?”

I did exactly that - it failed (see previous answer with screenshots)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Me again - this did NOT work. I opened it brand new and upgraded all the drivers and other required updates as directed. I then installed the Windows 11 upgrade, followed everything exact. No windows updated, still says 10 plus now it’s giving me a warning I have to upgrade for better security, however the updater shows no need for update. I’ve been computering since age 5, in 1990, I’m no novice, I’m experienced. I followed everything exactly - update failed. Works but buggy - very disappointed
