The CPU is about 25% faster than last year. Also the CPU contains a new AI module, although virtually no one has figured out what useful they can do with it yet. Also the RAM maxes out at 48 GB this year versus 40 GB last year. Plus if you mem upgrade you’re not throwing away 8 GB this year.
One thing I haven’t heard is whether any USB-C is upgraded to USB 4.0 this year. The CPU supports it, so if Asus failed to do this upgrade, it’s a missed opportunity.

A:Answer11 months ago when Asus answered this question, the 4080 version was not available. But Asus fibbed - the 4080 model, the only one to also have AniMe Matrix, did come out later in 2023. It (and the other 2023 models) will continue to be available for a while in 2024 in addition to new 2024 models, which are sleeker/thinner but have smaller (and more importantly unexpandable) all-soldered memory, and also do not offer 4080 nor 4090 variants anymore cuz they have a smaller cooling solution.
A:AnswerThe 4060 model does not have the nice new mini-led screen. For that you'll need to buy the model containing the 4090 GPU. Not quite sure if Best Buy sells that one, or will eventually. The sticker price for that model is $3300 on the Asus web sight. If you've got the cash and it's not earmarked for this months rent/mortgage, the rumor is that it looks beautiful. Not that bad a deal when you figure that a desktop 4090 costs about half of that, so basically you're paying only $1700 for the laptop + CPU + memory + the real sweet mini-led screen in place of the IPS screen.
