- Answer Yes, by following the directions in the box and with downloading and using the ASUS app, it's simple and easy to do. I recently bought this router to combine and AI-Mesh together with my ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Pro that I purchased a while back. It's prefered to connect the to router together via an ethernet cord, but you can do it wirelessly, too, which is what I did and still am doing. For me, the two routers work together seamlessly and I have been able to extend and boost the wifj in my house!

QuestionDoes this router allow for dedicated connection at 2.4ghz via WiFi **without auto-switching**? I have a new Brother printer (MFC-J6955DD) that keeps losing connectivity using my current Spectrum auto-switching dual-band (2.4/5.0 ghz) modem.

QuestionI bought the Netgear Nighthawk 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Voice Cable Modem and this router to go with it, but in the description it says this is a modem router combo. So what exactly is it. I havent started hooking anything up yet, I hope it goes easy.

QuestionThe description says the model number is RT-AX86U Pro. But the image (the one shown the back of the router) shows RT-AX86U and 2 x USB 3 ports (I believe RT-AX86U Pro has 1 USB 3 and 1 USB 2 ports). So I wonder whether this is RT-AX86U or RT-AX86U Pro?
