• To Answer my own question: I went and downloaded the user manual from ASUS and found this for anyone having the same questions I did. 1.2 Package contents Check your package for the following items: LCD monitor Monitor base Quick start guide Warranty card Power adapter Power cord DisplayPort cable (optional) HDMI cable (optional) DVI (Dual-Link) cable (optional) Audio cable (for VG278QR only) If any of the above items is damaged or missing, contact your retailer immediately.

• I purchased 2 of these. it came with 3 cables 1 HDMI 1 Displayport 1 DVI
