No, this is an AMD Ryzen 7 processor. It’s made by AMD, where as the i5 is made by intel. They’re both great processors, but the only i5 I’d purchase over an AMD Ryzen 7 is the intel i5-1235U processor. With the current price of this specific laptop ($499), it’s kind of unbeatable.
