A:AnswerMine are separated by large divided rooms from each other. I take the phone itself outside with me to pick up the mail or to the garage and talk on it too and it still works. Mine is connected to my internet if that makes a difference, Spectrum. I have not had problems with the phone no matter what room I take it into. I only have a set of 3 and they are separated from the main or their base a lot since I have to take it with me to other rooms quite a ways away. My house is approx 1400 sqft. but didn't feel I needed a larger set. This may not seem that big of a house but I have a lot of walls that could cause interference but not with this phone. Most people now days have an open concept in their homes but this phone has not been a problem in anyway. Very good quality for the price. Hope this helps someone.
A:AnswerYes! These phones have the option to turn off the ringer, however you have to turn it off on each phone. So you could leave the ringer set to on for the phone and main base but have the others turned off.
A:AnswerThe hand sets are interchangeable with any of the bases. But they are numbered 1, 2, 3. If you want to know where in the house an intercom call is coming from you should leave each phone on its respective base. Otherwise it isn't important, they will charge on any of the bases.
A:AnswerI got this for my 93 year old mother. She has no problem using the caller ID, answering machine or the speed dial but she has used the older model before. She says she can hear better on these phones too.
