A: No, it only has the display caller ID.
Q: Does it say whom is calling or do u have to look at phone
A: The phone does not have voice caller ID. You will need to look at the phone.
Q: Do batteries go dead in handset with no notice?
A: I tend to have long ( three hour) conference calls. In use, my battery begins beeping at about 3.5 hours. I just move to another handset. Not actively in use, I would say the charge lasts several days. You also can see an icon that indicates battery power on each handset.
Q: Can all handsets answer call without having to transfer?
A: Any handset can answer any call, and any handset can pick up during a call without having to "transfer" the call - they're all live all the time on the same line.

A: I must say, you would really like the AT&T - DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System with Digital Answering System. Very reasonable. You are able to turn ringers off or down. I highly recommend!! Hope this helps!!
Q: What color is the display light?
A: The screen is light blue with blue lettering, and the numbers light up with a red orange backlight. While resting those displays are dark with dark gray lettering. Also while resting, there is one small red light that stays on, and one slightly larger light on the holder that stays lit.
Q: Do all phones have to be connected to a phone jack, or just the base?
A: Only the main unit needs to be connected to a phone jack, and also a power socket. the other handsets only need a power source
