• Yes, you can transfer the SIM card from your current AT&T phone into this phone. If it doesn't fit AT&T will give you a new one

• Yes. I have a standard (not pre-paid) AT&T account, and I just used my same SIM card. Works seamlessly. I do that frequently, way cheaper than buying a new phone at contract rates.
