There will be a flyer kind of thing with the box when you purchase this phone. It explains you in detail about various rates and charged by ATT.

Please try again later.Yes this is a pre-paid, you buy what you need each month, I find it works best if you do auto load with your credit or debit card, they knock $5 off your monthly billing. Cost depends on what you need, you have to decide how much you plan to talk each month and if you want to add text and Internet service.
