Does it vacuum rugs as well as floors? null

Yes, it vacuums carpets with a special attachment. I also was able to use it on my throw rugs by adjusting the suction so they didn't get sucked up into the machine. It has saved me so much trouble with the various aspects of my cleaning needs. I just love this little cannister.

Not very well. Hard to push on carpet.

Yes! This is excellent on any type of carpet or rug I use it also on furniture hardwood floors and tile even walls. All of the tools included allow you to do this.
