A:Answer It is an excellent manual turntable. As such, it does not have an automatic return arm. Manual turntables require you to place the tone arm down with the cueing lever to start listening to the record, and lift it with the cueing lever when it's finished. But they sound much better than automatic turntables, because there are no additional motors idling constantly to create vibrations that are transmitted through the stylus to your ears.
It does have a preamp.
