Q: QuestionI’m new to HDMI surround sound, I have a PS5 I play movies on, and I have a 4K smart tv. I notice the HDMI out that hooks up to the TV so my PS5 will be surround, is this digital optical used to make the TV sound go through the surround sound.

Q: QuestionRecently purchased a marantz cd6007 CD player. This cable should simply just connect from the cd player to the preamp correct? Also, will this support the full cd quality sound fidelity? Thanks!

Q: QuestionThe cable fits perfect into my Xbox x but it’s fairly loose in my Astro gen 4 base station (optical In for my gaming headset). The cable I was using before was the one that came with the headset, they are both toslink. Anyone experience it being loose?

• A:Answer TosLink fiber optic cables have plugs that can only fit one way. Simply insert one plug into the TosLink jack on the TV and the other plug into the TosLink jack on the other component. Fiber optic cables are not directional, so it doesn't matter which plug connects to which component.

Q: QuestionHas anyone tried this cable with the newer NyFlix programs?? I have read others complain that "economy" audio digital cables do not transmit their sound tracks.

• A:Answer This is not something we've heard about. It should not be dependent on the program being played but the component it's being played on. If the component has a TosLink output, there's no reason why a fiber optical (TosLink) cable shouldn't work.
