Q: QuestionI am trying to figure out how much space this will take up. I see some people have the Filament holder on the top of the 3d printer. Do I need to buy somthing extra to do that? Thanks

• A:Answer You can 3d print the filament holder yourself for the AMS lite. Go to the Bambu Studio app se on yor computer or phone. Search for the AMS Lite on top holder. You won't regret it. Saves you space on your tablet.

Q: QuestionDoes this printer require a monthly subscription? I’m currently researching what 3D printer to get (it’ll be my first one) and this one caught my eye. I just couldn’t find information on if it requires a subscription or not.

• A:Answer I actually rescued one from a trash heap (apparently it was thrown away because it had a bad thermistor and heater block connector), and I was able to download Bambu Lab's free Bambu Studio software to control the printer. You do have to create a free account on Bambu Lab's website, but that gets you access to all of hundreds of free stl files that users have contributed (many are useful to enhance the printer and its performance).

• A:Answer The A1 from BL doesnt come with filament. The P1S and X1C sometimes does. The A1 and A1 mini sometimes includes a free gift which is usually a random item from their maker kits, but I dont know if the ones from Best Buy will. I've bought 6 printers from BL directly

• A:Answer Filament is not included save for a test sample if you purchase from Bambu Lab. You can purchase spools of filament separately. There are different types of filament: PLA, ABS, etc. PLA spools can be purchased in 250 g, 500 g, and 1 kg sizes. A 1 kg spool lasts me about 8 months with a moderate amount of printing at about 10-20% infill but will last much longer if you are using different colors and hence multiple spools. 1 kg spools of standard PLA and PLA+ can be purchased on sale for ~$12 (US dollars) but usually run about ~$18 full price for average quality and ~$24 for high-quality.

• A:Answer There are no PC requirements. You don’t even need a computer to use the Bambu Labs A1. You can print models directly from MakerWorld on your A1 using the Bambu Handy app on your phone. If you want to use non-MakerWorld models you would need to slice them first, but that depends on the slicer you choose. For basic printing, a PC isn’t necessary.
