Hi, According to the Best Buy website, you do not need to ship the orders to the same address and name to qualify for the protection plan or free AppleCare+ with a My Best Buy Total™ membership. As long as the product is new and purchased from Best Buy, it will be covered by the protection plan, regardless of who the product is shipped to. Here is a quote from the Best Buy Totaltech™ Yearly Membership FAQs: Does the product protection that comes with a My Best Buy Total™ membership apply to products I give as gifts? Yes. When you make a purchase that's covered by the protection plan with your membership, you'll receive an email confirming your protection plan coverage. The protection plan will remain in your name, but it will cover the product regardless of who the product is shipped to. This means that you can purchase a My Best Buy Total™ membership and then purchase products for friends and family members, and those products will be covered by the protection plan, even if they are shipped to the recipient's address.
