Best Buy Protection plans are valid for purchases made while your Best Buy Total Tech membership is active. It will not cover repairs to purchases for items made outside of Best Buy, nor will it retroactively go back to items you have previously purchased, instead it will provide a 20% discount on labor for those repairs. With that being said, Best Buy Total Tech will offer unlimited tech support on all your devices no matter where or when you purchased them. We will still remove a virus, perform tune ups and other maintenance for systems that are not covered by the Best Buy Total Protection.
